| SYNOPSIS |
Written in 1947, Long Island Sound was recently discovered in the Coward archives after having been lost for over 50 years. Nevere before published or produced, the world premiere of Long Island Sound represents the first Off-Broadway production for the acclaimed New York theater company, TACT. It is the Pinnacle of nine seasons of quality performances of great but neglected plays and remarkable audience support.
Set in the North Shore, Long Island Sound follows the hillarious complications when a successful British literary lion spends a weekend with a wealthy American couple he barely knows. Promised a quiet and restful couple of days in the country, the writer experiences the weeekend party from hell--Long Island style! |
