Welcome to our 15th Season.
Fifteen years ago a group of passionate theatre professionals got together to create an artistic home and The ACTORS Company Theatre was born. “TACT” was supported at first by friends and family, but word-of-mouth spread: here was a group of professional artists working together as a true repertory company, presenting little-known plays by brilliant authors in polished entertaining productions.
With little-to-no advertising or marketing, audiences came then subscribed and contributed to the company. Each year TACT’s reputation and its following grew. Now, we have become one of New York City's most respected and valued Off-Broadway theatre troupes, universally praised by critics and enjoyed by an ever-growing audience of savvy theatre goers.
This season TACT is celebrating its Fifteenth Anniversary - no small feat by any means - and we're doing it with a selection of extraordinary plays. Everything that TACT is known for is here: wonderful, rarely seen works by accomplished writers; beautifully staged productions that honor the text; stellar performances by our company of actors.
